General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

This might be due to lingual edema, a complication in stroke patients. It's essential for stroke patients and their caregivers to co operate with speech therapists and rehabilitation specialists, to manage swallowing difficulties and prevent complications like lingual edema. The earliest intervention and appropriate care are absolutely critical for stroke recovery.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Fahum Akhter, General & Family Physician
