What Causes Pain And Swollen Lymph Node On Left Side Of Neck?
Hi, I have a swollen well many lumps or lymph nodes that have been on and off painful since August 2015 I have noticed an enlargement of my lymph nodes of the left side of my neck, and right above the collarbone. I have been itching my skin too, I have a soar throat, and several cavities. Could this be a reaction to the tooth decay or something more?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain the symptoms of swollen lymph nodes along with several cavities in teeth seems inter-related.. Deep infection in teeth can cause inflammation of lymph nodes leading to swelling and pain in lymph nodes.. In case if sore throat occur due to infection in throat it can also lead to swollen lymph nodes.. As the infection flares the lymph nodes gets swollen.. I would suggest you to consult a General Surgeon and get evaluated and he can do a Biopsy of lymph nodes to confirm the diagnosis.. In case if it is due to tooth infection treatment of the teeth with treatment like Root Canal treatment followed by antibiotics and painkillers will relieve.. In case if teeth are grossly decayed extraction can be advised..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
