What Causes Pain And Tenderness In The Lower Back?
I am having low back pain. xray shows OA changes. Decreased I5/s1 space and maximum tenderness over L3/L4 area. I am 64years old. I have been advised to take Nuroday-1tab daily, Tizan tab 2mg at night, wear LS belt while travelling and to carry out spinal exercises(flex/extn). Please review and suggest. Regards, Ashoke Kumar Paul India/West Bengal/Kolkata
The symptoms are more likely suggestive of osteoarthrists spine. As a first line management you can continue analgesics and compression belt. If symptoms persist it is better to consult an orthopedician and get evaluated. In severe cases surgical correction might be required.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
