What Causes Pain And Tenderness In The Neck While On Atorvastatin?

Had very sore neck pain/ tenderness to the touch on one side, then the other clear to the head above my ears for two days, and a 99.5 temp. Tylenol helped. I do have degenerative disk disease. Could the Atorvastatin be responsible.? I am better today, and did not stop taking the medicine.
