What Causes Pain And Tenderness In The Neck?

Along with not feeling great, I have been having pain and tenderness on the right front side of my neck. I had surgery on this side many years ago and am always concerned when it doesnt feel right. it appears to be along the muscle that follows down my neck from my ear.

Hi,

If you are able to feel the tender area and make the pain worse on touch and also if the pain is worse on certain movements of the head then very likely this is a muscular pain. In this case some local warm compresses, paracetamol and ibuprofen can be helpful.

If the pain is not worse on touch or movements of the head or is not better with the treatment above then you will need to see your doctor and have a visit.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
