What Causes Pain And Tingling Sensation In A Dislocated Shoulder?

I dislocated my shoulder about a week ago, but I still have sharp pain through it, which is now shooting through my neck as well as down my arm, along with tingling and coldness when I raise it above my head. Is this normal? Also, should I be using a sling?

Cardiologist 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to brachial plexus compression. A possible bulging disc in the cervical vertebral column can not be excluded either. Coming to this point, I recommend consulting as soon as possible with your orthopedic surgeon and a neurologist for a physical exam. Performing a brachial plexus and cervical spine MRI is necessary.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka, Cardiologist
