What Causes Pain And Tingling Sensation In Arms After Being Wounded?

hi, last night i put my hand through a glass pane door - i slammed the door shut with the palm of my left hand and it ended up shattering the glass. i ended up with a small H shaped wound right where the underside of the wrist meets the arm. its not long but it feels like its deep. i was taken to a+e because paramediacs thought i might have hit an artery but turns out i didnt. the doctor on duty thought it was only superficial and hadnt hit any tendons..but im suffering severe shooting pains like electric shocks i guess that run down my left arm and wrist and fingers..i also have a tingling sensastion like pins and needles which is constant. help or advice?
