What Causes Pain And Tingling Sensation On Shoulder Blade?
Hello. About 3 weeks ago I woke with sharp pain in my right shoulder blade and needles in my small and ring fingers it eventually passed but the same thing happened the next day. After the third day,the numbness in my fingers stayed and they ve been numb ever since. Now I m awakened every day by excruciating pain in my shoulder blade, down my tricep and the bottom of my forearm. The lower section of my forearm and the two fingers are always almost completely numb. vicodan and icing seems to help, but it s always there. I have a huge lipoma on this shoulder blade. Probably 4 inches across. Would it be possible for it to cause these symptoms? thank you.
hello, These symptoms are not due to lipoma. It is due to cervical spondylitis with pain due to nerve compression. I would suggest you to get cervical spine x ray to see if there is decrease in disc space. Also see if there is change in the spine curvature, if yes than you need to follow these advises. 1.Tablet Pregabalin M one daily. 2.Intermittent cervical traction exercises. 3.Soft cervical collar. 4. Neck muscle strengthening exercises. I hope these steps will help you.Let me know if there is any other followup questions. Thanks
