What Causes Pain And Twitching Sensation In Arms And Legs?

My nephew is a male 29 years old. over the past month he has been experiencing pain and twitching in his arms hands legs and feet. This has progressively gotten worse. He has been to the doctor and they have referred him to a neurologist. But the appointment is a month away. His symptoms and pain are much worse ideas of what this could possibly be. I want to take him to the emergency room but they are the ones who referred him to a neurologist. the wait time is much to long

Hello,

It may be due to dehydration. Still for further assessment you may require electomyography after physician consultation. Further treatment mainly depends upon the underlying condition. Keep your self hydrated. Avoid strenuous activity. For pain you can take tablet acetaminophen.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shyam B. Kale, General & Family Physician
