What Causes Pain And Visible Veins Underneath The Tongue?
i NOTICED PAIN UNDER MY TONGUE, I WENT TO LOOK UNDER MY TONGUE AND NOTICED BLACK VEINS LARGER THAN NORMAL IMMEDIATELY I PANICED AND GOT MY SPOUSE UP BC i STARTED HAVING SOB. I'VE HAD A MIGRAINE HEADACHE AND HAD TAKEN 7 325MG ASPIRINS FOUR AT 10:30AM, 2 AT 1400 AND AN ADDITIONAL ONE AT 1600 WITH NO RELIEF, LATER AFTER MY SPOUSE ARRIVED I TOOK ADDITIONAL 2 BC'S POWDERS BC MY HEAD FELT LIKE IT WAS EXPLODING. MY QUESTION IS SHOULD I BE CONCERN?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain and visible veins underneath the tongue which is mostly a normal finding and there is commonly no pathology associated with it as everyone has appearance of bluish veins under the tongue due to their superficial nature of placement under the tongue. it can be due to any injury to the joint due to blow or accident or some other habits like teeth clenching, teeth grinding or any high points in caps or fillings. I would suggest you to consult an oral pathologist and get evaluated as the treatment can be planned as per the clinical examination and required laboratory and radiological tests. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Take painkiller and apply dologel if it is sore.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
