What Causes Pain And Weakness In The Legs?

I have great weakness in my legs & is getting worse. Wakes me up with pain in the front of my thighs. Take a lot of medicines - thought it was a side effect of the statins and now it is getting worse. Can it be other medicines are depleating some vitamin or mineral?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Arteries obstruction (chronic) due to atherosclerosis should be ruled out. Especially if the pain gets worse after walking so you have to stop and rest. The legs can get cold with this issue. If the pain appears while resting, surgical intervention is necessary.
To rule it out, Doppler arteries ultrasound should be done.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
