Hi..
Can understand your concern..

As per your complain pain during the initial days after oral surgery is not an abnormal finding and occurs after almost all surgical procedures.

After the surgery the surgeon must have definitely prescribed you with antibiotics, painkillers and steroids and the altered taste can be as a side effect of these medicines..

You need not to worry if you do not have any other symptoms like rashes , hives, swelling , itching, difficulty in breathing, nausea and vomiting, stomach upset or any other symptms.

The taste will turn back to normal after the medicine will be stopped..

In case if you experience any other problem you should immediately consult another dental surgeon or an emergency room to get a checkup done and get ruled out for the cause of problem..

Hope this information helps..
