What Causes Pain Around Ear, Jaw And Teeth During Pregnancy?

Hello. I have been suffering from pain in and around my ear, my jaw, and teeth. The doctor said I had an infection behind my ear drum but when I went back he said an ulcer appeared behind my wisdom tooth. It does not hurt to eat or open my mouth or even brush my teeth. But pain will throb while I m trying to sleep and some during the day. I m 6 months pregnant so I can only do so much but I wanted to see if you had any suggestions to ease the pain.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptons of pain around ear , teeth and jaw which is mainly due to presence of infection around posterior rooth region. You have symptoms of pregnancy gingivitis. Need not to worry about it. I would suggest you to avoid any surgical dental procedure which is more time consuming. Go for restorative procedure only. Maintan oral hygiene by brushing and flossing. Take combination of Ibuorofen and Acetaminophen to avoid pain.Visit periodontist once and get it examined. Go for scaling and cleaning of teeth manually. Avoid sweet, sticky and junk food. Gargle with antibacterial mouthwash.

Hope your concern has been resolved.
