What Causes Pain Around The Ear And Neck While Suffering From Sinusitis?

I have an ear infection/sinus infection, on antibiotics for 7 days and it s not gone away. Discomfort/ache around ear and down neck. No headaches, fever, dizziness etc. very little green congestion. Could it be dental issue? It seems mild but persistent. Been to doc three times and will get a Ct or MRI next week if still bad. Worried that it could be cancer or something serious.

Hello,

Persistent ear despite antibiotics could be due to or sinus infection resistant to the currently ongoing antibiotics.
In case there is any discharge.

I suggest you get culture and drug sensitivity to determine the organism causing infection and most suitable drugs for the infection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
