Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had stomach pain off and on for weeks and now it isn t going away. My right side hurts some and around my hips but today mostly around the belly button, in the front stomach area. Not bad pain..and not doubling over, but not right. It s just a constant dull ache and stomach sensitive to the touch.
The location of the pain and the hypersensitivity of the skin to touch indicate an inflammatory condition going on in that area, most likely diagnosis being an appendicitis. First thing you need now is to go to the doctors for an ultrasound scan to rule out other possible causes.
Once a scan is done, appendicitis would be confirmed or excluded, then the diagnosis would be detected and treatment would begin. Therefore, I'd advise you do that as soon as possible. You can take over-the-counter pain killers in the interim.
I hope I have answered your question.
Best wishes.
