What Causes Pain Around The Kidney Area Along With Appetite Loss?

my wife age 70 is suspected of retroperitoneal fibrosis. She was constantly complaining of pressing inwards pain about the right kidney bettter by hard pressure. She is diabetic for last 10 yrs, hypertensive& hyper thyroid. Sudden paroxysms of pain & fainting. loss of appetite, nausea & vomitting sometime after food. Found to have bilateral stones of 2 & 4mm. in the kidneys. Colourless & frothy urine. No pain on passing urine except for some waiting, stops & flows. Last month her creatnine level was 1.1 but jumped to 4.4 with obstruction feared & hydronephrosis, potassium jumped to 8.5 - had to be hospitalised. Doctors have succeeded in reducing creatnine to 4.5 & potassium to 5.6. I gave her calc carb for the stone 2 days back. recent scan shows stone has moved lower in the ureter. gave her natrum mur 200 in water 6 times yesterday - feeling much better had no pain yesterday. want a homoeopathic doctor consultation

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Uncontrolled diabetes and hypertension lead to CKD. Also, she had obstructive uropathy, thus raising creatinine and causing anorexia and vomiting. Control diabetes, preferably with insulin and hypertension. Do lifestyle and diet changes. Go for urs for ureteric stones to relieve hydronephrosis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. AJEET SINGH, General & Family Physician
