What Causes Pain Around The Navel And Abdominal Bloating?
I am 68 years old, female. Married 49 years. I am in excellent health. Only take Levothyroxin (sp?)on a daily basis. No other meds needed or prescribed so far. I am experiencing gut pain centering around my navel area with a lot of gas, bloating and pressure. I am not really constipated. This came on three days ago and I was wondering if it could be symptomatic of anything related to my heart. Generally NOT paranoid but at my age my father and brother both had heart attacks in their 60 s. As I am going out of country late next week I just wanted to make sure this is just a gastric anomaly. I do feel slightly better today but the grumbling and pressure, although less, is still there. I am 5 8 and weight about 185 lbs. Thank you.
There are many possibilities for abdominal pain and bloating. However, heart disease doesn't cause pain with gases. It's mostly related to digestive problems. If your condition progresses, you have to consult your doctor for a complete clinical assessment.
