Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having moderate pain on the right side of my body, right near the middle and bottom of my ribs. The pain in common but it is always sudden, it hurts to laugh or even move. This pain has been around for about 1year and a half. It gets worse and nore common at night, when i push or rub the pain that part of my body feels hard.. kinda like what a pregnant womans stomach feels like and then the other side is completely normal.
Hello, i just read through your query and i feel that you must have your vitamin D levels assessed because quite likely you have weak bones and they manifest in the form of rib pain initially. I suggest daily sun exposure atleast 30 minutes in divided parts over your hands and feet if you aren't getting enough sunlight regularly for strong bones. Try and increase milk and milk products for a good dietary intake of calcium as well. You might as well take a daily calcium supplement for stronger bones. Hope that solves your query.
