What Causes Pain At The Back Of The Head Despite Taking Claritin?
I ve had a little dizziness the last few days which has gotten better with Claritin but today had this pain in the back of my head. Left side and it kinda throbs the will stop and kept repeating for awhile today. My left ear also felt full and like I was talking in a tunnel. It got better after I got home and sat down for a bit.
Dizziness, fullness in the ear may indicate that there may be an infection or congestion of the sinuses. This can also cause the pain that you are experiencing. The Claritine should help but you may want to add a decongestant to this, that is use Claritine D or Allegra D or Zyrtec D or Benadry D. The decongestant should provide further relief. It can sometimes take up to 2 weeks for symptoms to completely resolve.
I hope this helps. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Michelle Gibson James
