What Causes Pain At The End Of Urination?

Hello, Since I was released from the Hospital, I have had, what I call a UTI. My Primary Care Doctor has given me medication which has not worked. I was in to see him about a month ago but he assured me I am well and there if nothing wrong with me. When I questioned him about why I still have pain at the end of my stream when I urinate he told me it is from a dry vagina. How does the Urinary tract pain equate to the Vagina? If I don t get to the bathroom quick enough, my bladder just opens up and I have no control. This pain goes up both sides of my body and into my hands like electrical shock. Thank You
