What Causes Pain At The Vaginal Opening During Intercourse?
I am asking about a problem that has been occurring with my vagina. A few weeks ago sex became painful right at the vagina opening. It is still hurting on my right side at the opening. Yesterday I noticed the skin on my vagina opening on the same side is white. I do not have any insurance to go see a doctor.
Cause may be vaginal dryness, yeast infections, having an STD, urinary tract infection, and friction from sex, uterine fibroid, endometriosis, ovarian cyst. Infection is mostly caused by mixed flora of organisms such as fungus, protozoa and bacteria. 1. Azithromycin 500 mg daily per oral for 3 days 2. Fluconazole 150 mg weekly per oral for 4 weeks – total 4 doses 3. Metronidazole 500 mg orally twice daily for seven days 4. Metronidazole gel 0.75%, one full applicator (5 g) intravaginally twice daily for 5 days 5. Ibuprofen 600 mg per oral after meal if pain is intolerable 6. Apply K – Y lubricating jelly before sex 7. Investigation – USG abdomen & pelvis, R/E urine, vaginal smear examination including Gram’s stain Consult your gynecologist for further follow up.
