What Causes Pain Behind Eye And Dizziness?

My husband has been complaining of pain behind eye for 3 weeks or more. I have noticed he complains of being dizzy but the memory thing is what alarms me. he is normally pretty sharp for 78 yrs old. this is recent. what kind of Dr. should we make appt with?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain behind eye and dizziness . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like middle ear infection , labyrinthitis ,sinusitis , diabetes, type 2 , high blood pressure and anemia, iron deficiency . I would suggest you to consult neurologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may order CT scan , MRI along with other test to confirm the diagnosis and ruel out other conditions . Doctor mau prescribe medicines like vasograine or may refer you to ENT specialist for sinusitis or ear problem . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics anti emetic drug . For now avoid bending forward and take ibuprofen for pain .
