Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a pain on the back of my left ankle right where the tendon attaches to the bone. Doesn t hurt while my foot is off the ground, however when I try to walk on it feels like a knife is stabbing in the back of my heel. If I bend my leg like stretching my calf the pain will lessen until I sit back down. Any idea?
Your symptoms seem to be related to tendinitis. I suggest using anti-inflammatory medication such as Ibuprofen three time a day. I also suggest doing gentle stretching exercises.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
