What Causes Pain Behind The Right Knee?

I have pain in my right leg, behind the knee and inside. It hurts to extend it when driving, it hurts to bend over and stretch it a little to shave my leg, seems to feel like a pulling pain inside...maybe a tendon? Getting more uncomfortable daily, when I kneel on the floor, I cannot sit back on my heels...a lot of pain in the back of the leg behind the knee and inside. I can take walks with no problem but getting up and down off the floor is hard. I have an active grandson that likes me to get down on the floor to play with him. I had a Doppler ultrasound 2 days ago to rule out a blood clot or cyst (my gyn referred me for that). They could not detect anything.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As there is no clot or cyst detected in ultrasound, I believe that to be more of a nerve compression or tendon malfunction related issue.

Most of the cases require an MRI of the knee to reveal the perfect internal structures of integrity and disorder of any degree.

Till that time, assisted physiotherapy with analgesic and particular posture adaptations will help surely for pain relief.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
