What Causes Pain Behind The Shoulder Radiating To The Rib Cage?

Hi ... I am having on n off pain from back of my shoulder towards rib cage n abdomen.. got ultra sound done... no stones but mild fullness of PCS in left kidney.. wht it means? Also got an xray done n there is small white patch on left side.... i m hvng bad pain at times and sometimes it all looks normal...

Hi,

Very likely you are having a small stone trying to find its way out and every time it moves it causes the pain because it blocks the urether (the tube that connect the kidney with the bladder).
You should drink plenty of water to flush it off and also prevent urinary infection.
Meanwhile you can take Ibuprofen 800 mg every 8 hours after food and Buscopan 10 mg 1-2 tablets every 8 hours.
