Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am having pain in my right side below my ribs but above menstrual pain area. Pain is severe when I cough and I have had bronchitis and just finished antibiotics 5 days ago. Chest x-ray was clear so I am wondering what could be causing the pain. I have had no injuries or falls.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain below ribs while coughing, there are possible chances of leftover upper respiratory tract infection which causes muscle pull while having dry unproductive cough. Need no to worry. I would suggest you to take it in a serious way. You should visit Pulmonologist once and get it examined. You should get X-ray chest done along with pulmonary function tests to find out exact level and extent of infection. You should take painkiller Ibuprofen along with cough expectorants. Avoid any cold, hot and spicy food and take diet rich in multivitamins. You should take steam inhalation as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
