Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Pain Below The Breast While Having A Pace Maker?
I m 64 next month and see my doctor regularly. Have to take one thyroid pill a day and about 3 years ago had a pacemaker for a slowing heart beat. I m relatively healthy and active.. Lately and especially today have a pain and tenderness to the touch just slightly right and below my breast. Feels like it s on the surface but is not.. It tends to come and go with pain without touching it, but is tender... Have had this before... It s weird, but today was worse than usual.
If the touch is able to affect the pain very likely it is related to the chest wall and is generally not dangerous. You can take some ibuprofen after food and paracetamol to help with the pain. If you notice no improvement you will need to see your doctor just to make sure all is well.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj,
