Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am male, 32. I have been suffering from severe occasional pain, just below my navel cavity. This is for the 4th time; the pain started all of a sudden, early in the morning at about 6 a.m. I feel like there is something (stool) in my lower abdomen(though there is no back pain). I feel a bit relaxed as i go to the toilet & sit in for a poo . Same pain & condition happened some 24days back & later things automacially came to normal after 3-4 hours; after i went for a deep sleep, after having sleeping pills (alzolam 0.50mg). Even , i use to have these pills sometimes. Please suggest; the pain is getting severe since 8a.m. today.
The commonest cause I can think about such type of pain is related to enetro-colitis that is inflammation of the intestines and the cause needs to be found out. Diverticulitis. Lymph node masses. Appendicitis in this position. Hence, I would advise you the following in such a situation: Consult your Doctor or go to ER for clinical evaluation and investigations as below: Tests for stool for 3 consecutive days. Tests of blood for infection, liver and kidney functions. X-ray of abdomen in standing position. Ultrasonography. CT scan if needed. These things will give an actual diagnosis to get a plan of medical and surgical treatment as needed. Just follow the advice of the Doctor and get treated accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
