What Causes Pain Below The Ribcage On The Right Side?

Yes, my husband is white male, 63 years old, in good health. His symptoms included pain below the rib cage, on the right side, and we can feel a protusion (not unlike a hernia) that we can push against. He s gone to the doctor, they did an ultrasound and did blood work...all is fine , but it s not. He wakes up in the morning with this, and it s uncomfortable. Your thoughts &/or recommendations?

if it can be reduced then it is only hernia. get examined by surgeon . no ultrasound is requered it can be clinically diagnosed. if confirmed then surgical option may be considered.
