Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of pain between the ear and jaw and shoulder blades is mainly due to occipital neuralgia. It could be due to obstruction of salivary gland ducts, tooth infection, and frequent lengthy periods of keeping the head in a downward and forward position. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
Consult neurologist once for proper diagnosis and start treatment as per that. Doctor may prescribe anti-inflammatory medications along with muscle relaxants such as baclofen. If it is related to tooth infection go for root canal treatment of concerned tooth as it is causing space infection. Occipital nerve blocks is also another treatment option after proper prescription.
