What Causes Pain During Breathing?

Hello I have been unable to breathe without pain for about the past hour. My whole upper chest is in a great amount of pain and it runs down to my left side and into my stomach. I have tried to lay down and I have even tried to take heartburn pills. Nothing will work.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The chest pain during breath and pain in the lower down abdomen could be due to musculoskeletal pain.

If you have no cough, difficult breathing, arm pain like complaint than it can be musculoskeletal pain as suspected.

You can take anti-inflammatory medication like brufen for five days. If still no improvement then consult nearby physician for detailed evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Parth Goswami, General & Family Physician
