Hi there
I'm not sure what type of tests were done but I'm going to list a few just incase some were left out.
The most basic urine test is a dipstick which is done at your doctors office which gives you an instant result and can determine if there's blood, protein or certain elements in your urine but does not specifically determine the type of infection.
I recommend you send off a urine sample to the laboratory for microscopy , culture and sensitivity and also run urine chemistry and fungal culture.
This is more accurate as the sample is analyses under a microscope. It will determine if there is bacteria or fungus and define the type and enable you to treat it accurately.
If there is protein in the urine and no infection, I suggest you do an
ultrasound of the kidneys and a
blood test to determine your kidney function.
If you are a middle aged male or older, please do visit your doctor to examine your
prostate via examination and a blood test, in certain cases an ultrasound can also be done.
In the mean time drink lots of fluids and try a urine alkaliniser over the counter such as citrosoda.
Hope this helps.
