What Causes Pain During Urination Post A Colonoscopy?

I am female, 50 yr old and just had my first colonoscopy. Everything went fine. Removed 3 polyps which I will get results tomorrow. I am having pain after urination with only a small amount of urine. I also cannot make it to the bathroom in time. Cold this be related to the procedure? IT S been 6 days since I had it done and pain for the last 3 days.

Hi AND THANK YOU, VERY PLEASED TO ANSWER YOU

As you have done a procedure under general anesthesia, your anesthetist has put you in on a urinary catheter. Urinary tract infection is a common complication of urinary catheterization and it largely explains what you feel about now.
I advise you to return to your doctor, in order to make you a bacteriological examination of the urine (urinalysis) because generally the microbes received during the urinary sounding are poly-resistant(resist to multiples antibiotics).
Thus the Labot that will highlight the contracted germ, will try to find the best antibiotics to eliminate this germs (antibiogramme). Your doctor will prescribe you this antibiotic and you will get well.
Best wishes
