i have been suffering for what i believe to be a water infection for nearly 2 weeks now, it clears up then the next day it is back again.. i went to my doctor and gave a urine sample they said my urine contained blood and protein but i dont know what this mean.. i am in excruciating pain when i urinate and go every five minutes.. can you help me?
Hi, your urine report shows presence of blood and protein, with painful urination and frequency. These can be due to urinary infection or urinary stones commonly. Follow-up with your doctor again. Infection can be treated with a course of antibiotics and anti-fever drugs. Urinary stones can be diagnosed by sonography and/or Xray of kidney and bladder region (KUB) and treated as per location and size of stone. Blood in urine should never be ignored. Take care.
