What Causes Pain From The Back To The Hips?

I ve been having back pain which radiates down my hips and makes my legs feel badly when walking. I had an MRI and I have spinal stenosis, arthritis and bulging disks. My PA has ordered Meloxicam which I started taking today. Does this drug interact badly with levothyroxine, amlopidine or Januvia and what are the side effects of meloxicam? Also, what is the best form of treatment - PT, chiropractor, exercise, shots? Finally, are there any natural supplements that can ease this condition?

I will solve one by one.

1. Does this drug interact badly with levothyroxine, amlopidine or Januvia?

Ans. Interacts only with levothyroxine.

2. What are the side effects of meloxicam?

Ans. Side Effects of Meloxicam are mostly abdominal pain, anemia, and edema.

3. What is the best form of treatment?

Ans. I am giving you the best treatment plan.

TREATMENT PLAN

1. NSAIDs like Ibuprofen as needed.
2. If there is fever only, take paracetamol 650 mg. do not exceed 3000 mg in one day. Take this 3 times daily.
3. Muscle Relaxants can be taken
4. If severe pain, we have a steroid injection.
5. Gabapentin 300 mg X Once a day (oral)

Any natural supplements that can ease this condition:

-ginger
-turmeric
-alfalfa

Also, suggest you go for physiotherapy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
