What Causes Pain From The Left Shoulder To The Chest?

I have had pain for about a week now which started in my left shoulder blade but is now in my chest (left side). I have been to the chiropractor twice thinking I had a rib out of place, but that did not help. What could it be? I have had my blood pressure checked and it was normal.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your symptoms seem to be related to a pinched nerve in the shoulder.

I recommend using anti-inflammatory medication to relieve the pain such as Ibuprofen.

I also recommend physical therapy.

I suggest avoiding the movement of the shoulder that can trigger the pain.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
