What Causes Pain From The Leg To The The Groin Area?
For my mom we have two different opinons. She have pain that runs down her leg and around her groin. We did find out she has a torn muscle by the hip. Her back is bad L4 5 & 51. The nero said it was her back and then changed it to her hip. She said she fills something moving in her hip. She will fall and then cant walk. Had an otho say her hip xray was fine. We are very confused by this. She had a shot in her back that did not help at all. Then a shot in the groin area helped for about two weeks. We dont know if its hip or back causing her pain going down her leg and groin area.
Your history suggests pain in the leg and hip region, probably degenerative changes in the spine at level L4-L5 and S1 and torn muscle in hip region.
I suggest you get an X-ray spine as well as MRI after consultation with an orthopedician. The pain seems to be associated with degenerative changes spine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shailja Puri, Pathologist and Microbiologist
