What Causes Pain From The Thighs To Below The Knees?
Good Afternoon Doctor, I am experiencing pain that runs from the top of my thigh (front) to below my knee. As it passes from my knee it dissipates and feels more like a sleepy muscle. I ve been experiencing this for about a month and a half. I am a 76 year old female
Hi, I had gone through your question and understand your concerns. concerns and I will try to help you as much as I can.
If there was no trauma then these symptoms are indicating circulatory problems in legs which are common in this age and there may be present atherosclerosis that obstructs blood vessels and causes pain and blisters to form. You should do Doppler ultrasound of the leg or CT angiography to rule out such obstructive changes and then it can be treated properly by medications or by surgical and radiological procedures. ALso, you should have aspirine 100 and have elastic stockings applied, and should avoid cold environment and long walks.
