What Causes Pain In Abdomen And Back Post Hysterectomy?

I am experiencing pain in my abdomen and back. When I press on my right lower side a sharp shooting pain shoots over to the left side and up toward my Brest. My stomach is bloated and I am retaining water in my legs. I do not have a fever. The pain in my back is high and on both sides. I am fatigued. I am having bowel movements. I have had a complete hysterectomy, 2/3 of my colon and appendix and galblader removed.

Hello,

You have undergone a major abdominal surgery and that is the cause of pain. You require prolong rehabilitation by active physiotherapy. That will help to build muscle power and relieve pain.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Deepak Sundriyal, Oncologist
