What Causes Pain In Abdomen And Gurgling Sound Along With Diarrhea?

My daughter reports to me she has had severe diarrhe medicinea since Friday, ( 3 days ) She has been eating very little, has very painful sharp pain in her intestines from time to time. Her intestines show rolling movement, and make gurgling sounds. She has no fever, but feels very weak. She has felt nauseus from time to time, but has not thrown up. She is only drinking water mixed with Gatoraid. She wondered if it was time to see a Doctor. She has not tried to take any diarrhea medicine and wondered if she should do this.

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain diarrhea can occur due to a number of causes like food poisoning, viral gastroenteritis, bacterial infection, parasitic infestation,food intolerance, allergies, electrolyte imbalance etc..
I would suggest you to consult a Gastroenterologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Blood tests and stool tests can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
You can be advised antibiotics in case of bacterial infection.
Antiviral medication like Albendazole can be given for parasitic infestation..
Take plenty of fluids that is fluid replacement therapy in which you have to drink plenty of oral rehydration salts with making solution in water..
You should also take zinc supplements and loperamide to relieve loose motions..
