What Causes Pain In Arm Radiating Into Elbow After Meth Intake?
Yes I have a friend that is a shooter of meth and about two or three nights ago he hit and apparently missed but said it did not burn it just hurt right at the end of the shot about eight to ten hours later his arm is hurting with pains and its hard for him to extend it in the crease of his elbow there is a knot and it is very red and the redness is spreading and it s hot and there are throbbing pains shoot from his elbow at injection sight to his hand what should he or I do to help him
I went through your query it seems to me that the features described in your query are suspected to be due to the accidental injury to the nerve (ulnar) due to an abscess caused by Meth shot in the elbow producing throbbing pains shooting to his hand.
Your friend needs to consult a physician or neurologist for further evaluation like Nerve conduction test, Electromyography (recording of the electrical activity in muscles) to confirm the diagnosis.
Meanwhile let him take some NSAID pain killers, apply supportive splint/pad at elbow which can help prevent further injury and relieve the symptoms.
Hope this answers your query.
