What Causes Pain In Back And Around The Area Of Heart?
have a picc line in the lft upper arm for vancomicin administered iv every 8 hrs. ive been experiencing pain in my back on the lft side near the area of my heart. i have moved my arm up over my head in an attempt to aleviate the pain (thinking it is muscular). could this be moving the line and irritating the vein causing the back pain?

By moving the arm, the vein is not likely to be irritated to cause a back pain. IT is likely to be posture related. Doing hot fomentation will help.
