I have also got a stomach which is looking a little bloated and unsettled bowel movements, and have just approached a GP for his view but would like a second opinion please

Hello and welcome to HCM,
The site on back needs to be examined to locate the exact location of the pain.
The painful area could actually have some lesion which you are not able to see.
The base of the spine is a favored site of painful lesions like pilonidal sinus, boil, furunclosis, etc.
The pain could also be due to some bony lesion involving the vertebrae.
A clinical assessment will determine the nature of painful site and thus its management.
Bloated stomach is seen in cases of over-eating, indigestion, gastritis etc.
Unsettled bowel movements occur in case of infection, food poisoning, etc.
An antacid will relieve the bloating.
You need to consult your physician for treatment of diarrhea since it needs to be determined whether diarrhea is due to infection or it is secretory.

Thanks and take care
