What Causes Pain In Belly Button While Coughing Or Sneezing?

I've had a pain by my belly button for three days. If I bend down or cough or sneeze it hurts a lot more. It was above my belly button for two days and now it's below my belly button. Yesterday I woke up coughing and threw up, I felt really nauseous last night. I tried using a hot water bottle, that didn't help either.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,Welcome to the HCM
First of all I would like to know ,wether you feel some swelling on belly button while coughing? As it can be umblical hernia.Other cause can be gastritis as it can cause nausea and vomiting.
My suggestion would be get a stool test and ultrasound abdomen first and discuss further with the doctor. For decreasing nausea and vomiting you can have tab.domperidone and tab ondansteron as per need according to weight and age.
Hopefully my answer is helpfull.
