What Causes Pain In Biceps After Lifting Weight Objects?
i can normally curl about 50 pounds... I carried roughly 400, 100 pound bags at work and my bicep has been sore for 2 weeks now. Right now I cannot curl more then 20 pounds my bicep hurts as soon as I am exerting pressure and my arm is bent 90 degrees or less at the elbow. Is this serious or will it go away
Hello. I have gone through your question. it seems you have a muscle strain which is an injury to muscle as a result of strenuous activity. i would suggest:
1. Ice or heat should not be applied to bare skin. Always use a protective covering such as a towel between the ice or heat and the skin.
2. Take nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agents such as ibuprofen (Advil) to reduce the pain and to improve one's ability to move around
3. Protect the strained muscle from further injury.
4. Rest the strained muscle. Avoid the activities that caused the strain and any activities that are painful.
5. Elevate the injured area to decrease swelling.
I hope this helps. Thanks and regards.
