What Causes Pain In Buttocks Upon Squeezing The Muscles?

I have a question - recently the inside of my butt has been hurting when I squeeze my muscles. And it sometimes hurt when I poop. There s no blood on my stool and no constipation. It just hurts when I slightly squeeze the inside of my butt muscles. I don t think I have hemrooides because there is no blood. And lately I ve been taken bath just in case but the discomfort is still thrre when I squeeze and it really hurts when I have to keep myself form urinating. What should I do?

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have pain in buttocks upon squeezing the muscles . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like piriformis syndrome , brusitis , tendinitis or sciatica , infection, tumor and fracture. It can also caused by muscle stain or nerve compression . I would suggest you to apply warm compresses to it thrice a day , take proper rest and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Consult orthopedic surgeon for proper examination . Doctor may order CT scan MRI or physical examination. Doctor may prescribe anti inflammatory , orthodox MR , along with physical therapy and light stretching exercises . Doctor may also refer you to neurologist for nerve problem .
