Hi....ive been told that my buttocks pain on the left side and down my leg is either syatica or sacroiliitis ....ive been prescribed naproxyn ...so far ive been taking it for 4 days and no change in the pain....could my doc. have misdiagnosed me???
Hi, Naproxyn is an analgesic working for any pain of musculo-scletal system. So it should work for both condition. Important is to know cause of pain and then appropriate treatment. Go for x-ray lumbo-sacral region and hip joint for any degenerative changes. Go for back extension exercises daily. Take calcium and vitamin d supplements. For pain you can take ibuprofen, paracetamol or Diclophenac, paracetamol combination medicine if naproxyn is not giving relief. Ok and take care.
