What Causes Pain In Chest Above The Breasts?

Hi, I have been having pain in my chest area above my breasts x 2 days. It feels like it may be a muscular pain, but I am a little nervous, since it's going on 3 days and I still feel the pain. I have not been lifting wieghts, so not sure how or when I could have injured it.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and welcome to health care magic.
The pain in the chest which is persisting for 3 days needs evaluation. My advice is to visit a physician and let him have a look at your symptoms. He will take EKG /ECG and if it's normal, then there is nothing to worry about. Another possibility is costochondritis, which is inflammation of the joints of ribs caused by raising a weight or doing some hard work which you are not used to. In that case, the doctor will prescribe NSAIDs like aceclofenac which will reduce the inflammation.
Thank you.
