What Causes Pain In Chest Along With Heart Palpitations?

I have recently been suffering from chest pain and heart palpitations. Racing heart when im not doing much. Ive been told by several doctors im in perfect health, with the exception of high colestoral. which i take lipitor for. Ive been to the VA urgent care, and the hospital ER. they couldnt see anything on the ekg. waiting for a stress test and a heart echo to be sure. being that said, the doctors Ive seen wrote it off as anxiety. xanax takes all the symptoms away, but my heart is still at 110-120bpm just standing here typing this. I just wanted to know if my elevated heart rate should alarm me enough to seek medical attention sooner then thursday. would appreciate a quick response. Im only 27, and dont like thinking that my wife and son may have to go on without me,. causes me more anxiety. thank you very much for your time. i just was wondering what i should do in the event that my heart rate get elevated and i have chest pain at the same time. about 5 or 6 times it felt like i was having a straight up heart attack. scary for only 27
