What Causes Pain In Chest Along With Low WBC And Elevated Neutrophil Counts?

I was just in ER with chest pains. The EKG was fine, they did a xray which he didn t tell me about. They also did blood work which some of the results are bothering me, another thing he didn t go over. First my WBC count was 16, the neutrophils were 11.1 and the monocytes were 1.3. All he did was give me a GI COCKTAIL and a prescription for pepcid. Am I wrong in thinking something was overlooked?

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

A high WBC (white blood cell) usually indicates an infection is present so you should be assessed for infection.

Neutrophils and monocytes are types of white blood cells.

If you are having symptoms of infection/inflammation of any point then you may want to see your doctor.

I hope this helps
